What is the difference between Status Miles and Bonus Miles?

You collect Status Miles on all Brussels Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, operated flights as well as on Hertz rentals. They count towards Privilege Gold membership. You collect Bonus Miles on flights with all our other airline partners, through all other programme partners and on promotions. Status Miles and Bonus Miles count equally and can be used for the same awards.
