Are there any booking fees to pay for a Privilege award ticket?
Privilege award tickets are free of charge provided you book your tickets earlier than 7 days prior to departure. If you book your ticket at the last minute, we will levy a handling fee.
You book your flight as usual, but your ticket is no longer printed on paper. Instead, it is stored in our reservation system as an electronic ticket or e-ticket. We will send you a receipt by post, fax or e-mail.
Can I book an award for another person with my miles?
It is not possible to obtain a free ticket by paying part of the price in miles and the other part of the price in cash. However, if you do not have enough miles in your mileage summary, it is now possible to purchase the miles you need online. Purchase miles online.

What happens, if I hold a Free ticket but may not use it for any reason?
If you are unable to use your Privilege award ticket for any reason and would like to have your miles back, then you must cancel your journey no later than 24 hours before departure. The miles will be recredited to your account and keep their original validity, provided you have not yet used any part of your ticket and your ticket is still valid. We will debit your credit card with a handling fee.
